The first Bristol African Caribbean Expo was held in the city of Bristol on 25th February 2017 Though it is not the first expo to be held in Bristol, it is unique in many ways and will remain the same for 2018.

  • It is the first event of its kind organised in Bristol entirely by African Caribbean (largely Jamaican) nationals living in the city.
  • It is an exposition aimed at small to medium predominantly Afro-Caribbean owned businesses and those that provide support services to them.
  • It is an exposition that offers exposure and networking to businesses that are underrepresented and underexposed, both in the city and nationally
  • The exposition is good value for money; offering cost effective booths to exhibitors and FREE entry to the public, making it accessible to many who would not normally have the chance to experience an expo.
  • The Expo allocates space for Young Entrepreneurs to encourage our youth to explore business options available to them.
  • The Expo offers a children’s activity space run by a licensed individual and her team which allowed parents to browse, network and shop without worry.
  • The inaugural Expo attracted over 1200 people from the local area and nationally!

Location and Venue

Bristol is a very diverse and mixed city with a large Caribbean community, it is described as eclectic and cosmopolitan. The Caribbean community often complains of feeling left out of ‘the happenings’ or travel to London to participate. One of the main reasons for this event is to reverse this trend and put Bristol in the limelight.

The venue is The Trinity Centre, Bristol. This is a multi-use event space that is close to the heart of the community. It is a converted church with beautiful architecture, features a garden large garden space and parking. It is centrally located and easily accessed by local transport links. Young Black Business

Our hosts for the day will be two radio and television personalities, broadcasting team Sherrie Eugene-Hart and Patrick Hart. They are a husband and wife team who are taking the food world by storm as they launch their Carib-Asian Cookery Book following the success of the Carib-AsianCookeryShow.

What started off as a fun pilot video, experimenting with their Caribbean and Asian heritage food inspired by their mums, ended up as a hit series on the TV as millions tuned in around the country to be entertained by this Black British and Anglo Indian double act cooking fusion food and exchanging some awkward moments too as husbands and wife’s do.

They are both well respected and popular in the city and are often engaged in events that cater to your target market. They have a large audience and attract a crowd wherever they go.

We believe that this event will be a resounding success, especially with it being the first one of its kind to be held in Bristol. There is already quite a bit of interest from the local community. We would love to have you on board for the Bristol expo as we believe this could help to build a successful business relationship for this and other future events.

The exposition itself will consist of 50-55 stalls which will include products from a wide range. These include; Health & Beauty, Nutrition, Writing & Publishing, Art, Music, Fashion, Film Making, Real Estate, Television, IT Services, Banking, Marketing, Legal Services, Personnel Services among others.

There will also be an allocation of stalls representing Local Charities, The NHS, in particular, Blood & Organ Donation & Diabetes Services, The Emergency Services and a Children & Young People Charity.
